In 1994, VFW Post 2135 established this space as a fitting tribute to all citizens of Peoria who have served in the Armed Forces. The monument includes an inscribed granite stone and three flagpoles.

You will find this memorial in a beautifully-landscaped traffic island, fittingly in the shadow of the American flag, the Arizona flag, and the POW-MIA flag. It's location ensures that it will be seen by all who enter or exit the property by car. On this spot you will find a granite monument, sitting in the shade of the trees, and surrounded by lush vegetation. There are no benches here, but you will be comfortable with the shade that is provided.
