Im Seebetriebsgebäude befinden sich während des Wochenendes in der Badesaison die DLRG und das DRK. Die DLRG verfügt über ein Rettungsboot welches stets einsatzbereit ist
Ebenso befindet sich im Seebetriebsgebäude das sogenannte "Mini-Cafe" und ausreichend Toiletten
Die Segelgemeinschaft Hörstel 1978 e.V. sowie der Angelsportverein Bevergern besitzen am Torfmoorsee eigene Vereinsheime
Seit 1981 geologischer Lehrpfad
Grillen ist nur an der Grillhütte erlaubt. Die Benutzung der Grillhütte darf nur mit schriftlicher Genehmigung des Ordnungsamtes erfolgen
Hunde und Katzen sind an Leinen zu halten und nicht ins Wasser gelassen werden
Ebenso verboten ist das Zelten im gesamten Naherholungsgebiet Torfmoor
