This independently owned and operated heliport is managed by Papillion Helicopters. They located at 3563 Hummingbird Dr. Grand Canyon Arizona and are near, but not a part of or associated with, the Grand Canyon National Park airport. The South Rim Terminal and passenger facility is a state of the art masterpiece in heliport design. Built with guest service in mind, this facility boasts a large gift shop, espresso cart, 30 minute photo processing, and a large plate glass staging area offering nearly 180 degree view of the arriving and departing aircraft.
The Heliport provides 20 separate and distinct landing pads and can easily accommodate over 1000 passengers a day! The company is the oldest and largest sightseeing vendor in the world and fly's an estimated 600,000 passengers each year on its daily tours of the Grand Canyon. They have a company wide fleet of 48 copters and use Bell 206L, 206B, Bell 407, A-Star 350B BA B2, MD900, EC130, deHavilland Twin Otter helicopters.
The heliport also provides service to utility and contract support to Grand Canyon National Park, U.S. Forest Service, Department of Defense, Bureau of Land Management, Arizona Game & Fish, Tucson Electric Power, Bar 10 Ranch.
25-50 minute tours range in price from $200.00 to $250.00 US Dollars per person.
