The David Hill Cemetery is located off Day School Rd and can be seen when traveling on Modoc Point Rd on a small hill overlooking Upper Klamath Lake. This cemetery contains many Native American graves and a few early pioneers of this area. There are loved ones still being buried in this cemetery. There are approximately 500-700 graves in this cemetery. I unfortunately noticed many unmarked grave sites (Mainly Native American graves) as well sites with small metal markers that have had the names worn away and unreadable. This cemetery is not the most well-kept cemetery I've come across. It contains no lawn or landscaping -- only sagebrush, wild grass and juniper trees to reflect the natural landscape of the area. There is also no welcome sign at the cemetery entrance, something I'm normally used to seeing. I also tried to find David Hill in the cemetery for which this place is named after and couldn't locate him.
