My mom is usually in the mood for some of kind of chain restaurant. But there were not many in the area, so we had the opportunity to try out a local hangout.

The decor seems to appeal to a young, artsy set. The walls were adorned with modern art, the signage reminded me of web pages somehow, and there were a lot of college-age clientele packing the place at lunchtime.

The food struck me as a bit more upscale than your average diner. I had the Hampden -- a panini with a hawaiian feel (ham and pineapple). It came with potato salad, which was a bit on the bland side (could have used more mustard, I think). My mom tried the quinoa salad. The first time she had tried it, and she enjoyed it. Although she got the half portion, it was still more food than she could eat.

Overall a nice place to eat. I like it that they had full or half portions of most items.
