The Stony Ridge Café has got to be the best place in town for a hamburger. Often referred to as “Ely’s Best Kept Secret” the café has 50 different gourmet burgers…or create your own burger combination. Each ½ lb patty is dubbed with local “flavor” with names like Northwoods, Lumberjack, Backpackers, Northern Lights, and Paddler. Burgers also come blackened, with sauce glaze or choose the challenge of a 4 lb pattie. Seating offers rustic northwoods décor and views of the lake; take-out is also available. Although this privately owned café is part of a resort, the public is invited to dine there. The café is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
