Rogers is a small town in Central Texas. The population is just over 1,200. The entire town covers less than one square acre. The town has a police department and a volunteer fire department. The town was established in the late 1800s and named after J. D. Rogers who was a director of the Colorado, Gulf, and Santa Fe Railway. Cotton and cattle were the main products of Rogers. In the 1920s one block of the business district was destroyed by a fire.
