Impoundments provide resting and feeding areas for waterfowl, wading birds, and shorebirds - especially in winter. There is good songbird viewing along the trails south of the main entrance and in the flatwoods northwest of the pools.
There multiple boat entrances to this property. There is also an elevated viewing platform.
