Thi Historical Marker is situated on the foreshore at Mooloolaba Queensland.

The Historical Marker reads:
"This sculpture is a tribute to steve irwin - Devoted Father,Husband and Mate.
This sculpture is also in commemoration of Steve Irwin, local wildlife warrior and renowned conservationist the world over.
Depicted with son Robert and daughter Bindi, this artwork was sculptured by Silvio Apponyi.
Carved out of Queensland marble, the sculpture was unveiled to the public on 4 December 2007.
This is Maroochy's tribute to the extraordinary life of Steve Irwin and his incredible contribution to wildlife conservation."

"Stephen Robert "Steve" Irwin (22 February 1962 – 4 September 2006), nicknamed "The Crocodile Hunter", was an Australian wildlife expert, television personality, and conservationist. Irwin achieved worldwide fame from the television series The Crocodile Hunter, an internationally broadcast wildlife documentary series which he co-hosted with his wife Terri. Together, the couple also owned and operated Australia Zoo, founded by Irwin's parents in Beerwah, about 80 kilometres (50 mi) north of the Queensland state capital city of Brisbane. Irwin died on 4 September 2006 after being pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while filming an underwater documentary film titled Ocean's Deadliest."
