Smith and Northwest roads is a crossroads hamlet that has become a small village. There's a general store that has become a cafe, the old school that is now the Whatcom County Government Annex site, and the grange.
The grange looks a litte shabby and worn on the outside, most likely reflecting the change from being a farming centre to a suburban community with people travelling to nearby Ferndale and Bellingham for most needs.
To help out on Sunday mornings the Trinity Biker Church uses the grange for its services. As it says on the website: "Whether you are a biker, all tattooed up, or just someone who wants to hear the Word of the Lord in a safe environment please know you are welcome."
It is clear that the North Bellingham Grange has been responding to the changing community around it.
