[PT] Um dos mais famosos assaltos em portugal nos últimos anos, foi o assalto ao Museu do ouro em Viana do castelo.

Um gangue fortemente armado roubou 700 mil euros em objectos de ouro de uma ourivesaria e do Museu do Ouro a 7 de Setembro de 2007. Durante a fuga houve uma troca de tiros em que uma pessoa foi atingida por uma bala perdida e ficou paraplégico, na troca de tiro ficou também ferido um policia e um dos assaltantes foi baleado e morreu horas depois.
Em 2010 Tribunal Judicial de Viana do Castelo condenou a 18 anos de prisão cada um dos cinco homens acusados da autoria do violento assalto ao Museu do Ouro.

[EN] One of the most famous robberies in Portugal in recent years, was the assault on the Gold Museum in Viana do Castelo.

A heavily armed gang stole 700,000 euros in gold objects of a goldsmith and the Gold Museum September 7, 2007. During the flight there was an exchange of gunfire in which a person was hit by a stray bullet and stayed paraplegic, in the exchange of fire was also wounded a police officer and one of the robbers was shot and died hours later.
In 2010 Judicial Court of Viana do Castelo sentenced to 18 years in prison each of the five men accused of the authorship of the violent assault on the Gold Museum.
