I dørens felter ses bl.a.
At the main entrance to Sct. Morten's Church is an old beautiful wooden door with relief images of biblical motives. It is believed that the door is cut by Lauridtz Jensen from Essenbæk around the year 1700. The door fields show among others The prophet Ezekiel's vision and the burial of the widow's son from Nain. A funny detail at the funeral of the son from Nain is the corpse carriers, who are dressed in costumes that were used by Randers Liglav in the 1700s.
In the Middle Ages there were six churches in Randers. Sct. Morten's Church was the city's largest church, and the only one of the six churches that exist today. The church was built from 1494 to 1520 and was originally a Roman Catholic church. The reformation slowed the Catholic development in Denmark and in 1534, two years before the official farewell to Catholicism in Denmark, Sct. Martin's church was appointed parish church and thus a part of the Lutheran Church in Denmark.
