This site is a fenced-in area with Lewis & Clark's salt works on display, plus several markers describing the history of the site and the Lewis & Clark Expedition. The salt works provided the salt needed for the expedition's return trip east. It is within the coastal resort town of Seaside, several miles south of the other units that comprise the
Lewis & Clark National Historic Park.
