The Bank of Commerce is a decidedly modern facility, built in 2000. It is however, built in the heart of El Reno's historic downtown, where many of the buildings are on the National Register. Accordingly, the architectural style of the building incorporates many historic design elements.
Many of those can be seen in this doorway - the decorative brickwork just above the door, the columns on either side of the door, and especially the word "bank" with the date of construction underneath, just above the door. The words and date are found on most older buildings, but are rarely seen on buildings built after 1930, at least in this part of the country.
