In Boston's West Roxbury neighborhood is Saint Theresa of Avila Church, which has a front entrance with frieze art.
The church is located on the south side of Centre Street, at the intersection with St. Theresa Avenue.
The church is a stone structure with the front entrance to the main auditorium, and the bell tower to the right.
The front has a pair of wooden doors with fancy metal hinges. Above the doors are relief carvings of three figures, one of which is on a throne. Around these are arcs, with some plant features carved. Above this are two coat of arms. Lettering spans across the width: the style of wording and unfamiliarity with Latin prevent me from fully reading it. On either side of the door are fully carved figures appearing to be priests. Well above the door is another fully carved female figure holding a book in one hand and pen in another.
