Ainsworth School was in operation until the 1960s. It was then used for storage by the Shawano School District. In the early 1990s, after being renovated, Country School Charm opened its doors, selling fudge and hand crafts, then at the end of that decade it was sold to Midwest Gift & Fudge House. The building retains the original chalkboard, wooden floors, brick walls, and some old time desks.
