Pioneer Park is a small park; however it does offer some very nice features. Including several dedicated benches, a small stream, footbridge, waterfall and a Worker's Memorial with ore cart and a memorial honoring Father Mac.

There are sign boards providing a glimpse into the park’s history, also there are its dedication statement and sponsors.

This park is dedicated to honour Rossland's many pioneers. The park reflects the early cooperation of the Chinese and European cultures that shaped Rossland. It is a legacy of the men and women who shaped the community's rich and colourful history. The park was initiated in 1997 on the occasion of the City's 100th anniversary and officially dedicated on October 25 1999.

This is the site of the original Esling Park. It covered the entire flat area including the site now occupied by Esling Park Lodge. A park was established on the site in 1921, and dedicated to William Kemble Esling in 1923. Billy Esling was a pioneer Rossland newspaper publisher (Rossland Miner) and served the community as a Member of Parliament from 1925 to 1946. "Billy' died in 1946 and was interred in Rossland's Mountain View Cemetery
