This signpost is situated beside the walking track near the Childrens Fishing Pool in the Tongariro National Trout Centre. (visit link)
This pool is stocked with trout to provide fishing education on Kids Fishing Days and Open Days. The Trout Centre is set in native bush beside the Tongariro River. A maze of walking tracks wander through the bush, passing the Museum, Hatchery Shed, Underwater Viewing Chamber and Fishing Pool, and meander along the banks of the famous trout river, the Tongariro River. There are other signposts and information panels dotted along the paths at interesting spots.

Access: Car Parking is signposted on SH.1. about 2kms south of Turangi. A paved path leads down the hill to the Trout Centre. Follow the signs along the walkways.
