I recovered this U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey AZ Mark from 1952 in good condition. It is part of the Grenada North Base series of marks (PID MX0309). This station is located in front of a fence line just off Old Hwy 99 S. There is an orange carsonite witness post to aid in recovery. For some reason this AZ mark is not listed on Geocaching.com. The NGS datasheet is adequate for recovery. My posted coordinates will place you very close to this AZ mark.

THE STATION IS LOCATED ADJACENT TO HIGHWAY 99 IN SISKIYOU COUNTY ABOUT
2 KM WEST-NORTHWEST OF GRENADA, 9 KM SOUTH OF MONTAGUE, AND 12 KM
SOUTHEAST OF YREKA. TO REACH THE STATION FROM ABOVE THE CENTER OF
INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 5 ON THE COUNTY ROUTE A-12 OVERCROSSING GO WEST
180 M TO OLD HIGHWAY 99. TURN RIGHT AND GO NORTHWEST ON OLD HIGHWAY
99 640 M TO THE STATION ON THE RIGHT. THE STATION IS 0.4 M SOUTH OF
AN ORANGE CARSONITE WITNESS POST, 0.6 M EAST OF A WHITE CARSONITE
POST WITH AMBER REFLECTOR, 15 M NORTHEAST OF THE CENTER OF OLD
HIGHWAY 99, AND 0.3 M SOUTHWEST OF THE EASTERLY RIGHT OF WAY FENCE,
THIS STATION WAS OCCUPIED AS A PART OF THE CALTRANS NORTH REGION
HEIGHT MODERNIZATION PROJECT.
