William Neves was born in Rockland County, Virginia in 1751. He enlisted when Williamsburg was threatened by the British, in Goochland County, Virginia. Neves then served in Richmond under Colonel Norris in 1781. Later, he served as a prison guard at Albemarle Barracks. Neves migrated to Hamilton County, Ohio, and died December 24, 1838.
