History of the anthracite mine:
The anthracite was discovered there about 1560. Mines "Podbrtí" and "V Hájku" were based there in 1931 and mine "Etna" one year later. There were more than 200 laborers and they mined about 60-70 tons per day. The production reached in years of WWII to 15 000 tons per year. Mining was stopped in May 1945, the lowest parts of the mine were flooded. Year after, the mine was nationalized and this was the end of the mining. The equipment was taken to lignite mine near Mydlovary.

There is remaining part of a heap today, which is an important technical monument.
