This piece of equipment could plant two rows of potatoes or bulbs (such as onions sets) at a time. The seed potatoes were metered into tubes which opened up the furrow and deposited the set directly underground in the same process. drag bars attached to the rear of the planter would cloe up the furrow and cover the set.
