Welcome to The Royal's Labyrinth
A labyrinth is an ancient, geometric pattern that has only one path that leads into the centre and out again. Not to be confused with a maze, a labyrinth is based on a circle, the ancient symbol for healing, unity and who lenses. The idea of a labyrinth is to journey into one's self, but also to come out of the meditation to face the world with a new perspective. The labyrinth is a metaphor for our life.

Les labyrinthes sont d'anciens tracés géométriques qui se composent d'un seul chemin menant jusqu'au centre puis vers la sortie. Contrairement à son cousin complexe de forme carrée aux possibilités multiples, le labyrinthe est circulaire; c'est intérieur en soi, puis d'émerger de cette méditation armée d'une nouvelle perspective. Le labyrinthe est en fait une métaphore de la vie.
Comment parcourir le labyrinthe
Il n'ya pas de bonne ni de mauvaise façon de parcourir le labyrinthe, lequel doit etre considéré comme un outil de paix, d'équilibre et de communauté.
Voici toutefois quelques conseils pour rendre votre expérience encoure plus enrichissante:
- Laissez votre corps choisir le rythme de vos pas. Allez-y lentement d'une démarche contemplative, ou rapidement avec gaieté - choisisseq la cadence dont vous avez envie.
- Il n'ya qu'une entrée, qu'un chemin jusqu'au centre, etqu'un chemin pour ressortir. Les méandres et sinuosités du labyrinthe vous amèneront jusqu'au centre, puis vous ramèneront à votre point de départ; vous n'avez qu'à suivre le tracé jusqu'à votre retour vers la sortie.
- Vous renconterez peut-etre d'autres marcheurs; dépassez-les gentiment ou laissez-les simplement vous doubler.
- Si vous avez envie de prendre une pause, n'hésitez pas à le faire. Le temps que l'on passe dans le labyrinthe est très spécial, et vous devez en profiter pleinement. Si vous souhaitez sortir du labyrinthe avant d'avoir complété le parcours, il vous suffit de traverser les lignes.
- Passez du temps au centre - c'est un endroit de méditation et de recueillement. Restez-y aussi longtemps que vous le voulez, ou faites simplement demi-tour. Permettez aussi aux autres de s'y arréter.
- Après avoir parcouru le labyrinthe, prenez le temps de réflexions sur papier. Parlez de votre expérience à d'autres, ou écoutez quelqu'un vous raconter la sienne.
How to walk the labyrinth
There is no right or wrong way to walk a labyrinth. It is a tool to create peace, balance and a greater sense of community.
Here are some suggestions to make your journey more fulfilling.
- Let your body naturally set the pace as you proceed into the labyrinth. Go slowly and reverently or quickly and playfully - whatever pace you are most comfortable with.
- There is only one entrance, with one path to the centre and out again. The twists and turns of the labyrinth lead you to the centre and back. Follow the path until you return to the starting point again.
- You may carefully pass others who are moving more slowly or step aside to let others pass you.
- If you are inclined to pause at a given spot, do so. Time spent in the labyrinth is a special time for you, so do what you feel you need. If you want leave the labyrinth at any time without completing the path, simply walk out across the lines.
- Spend time at the centre; it is a place for meditation and prayer. Stay there as long as you like or simply experience the centre as a turning point. Please make room for others as they arrive.
- Once you have finised walking the labyrinth, reflect on your walk. For some, writing down their thoughts is helpful. Share your experience with someone or listen to someone else's story about his or her journey.
