Forest District Bílovice nad Svitavou is maintaned and owned by Training Forest Enterprise Masaryk Forest Krtiny, what is an organizational part of Mendel University of Agriculture and Forestry in Brno. Forest District Bílovice nad Svitavou is located at 3,055 ha of forests. The forests are in an immediate vicinity of the northern limits of Brno and this is why the recreational and aesthetic functions of the forest are very important, amplified by the existence of many memorials and fountains of the Forest Pantheon. In this very valuable natural environment there are 9 small-scale protected landscape areas (of these 2 are national nature reserves). ( visit link)
