Caesar Fountain, the most famous, largest and technically most advanced Olomouc Baroque fountain depicts Emperor Gaius Julius Caesar. Its sculptural group, consisting Caesar as rider and two male figures holding cartouches, is located in the middle of the basin on an artificial rock. Two males figures personificate rivers Morava and Danube and the sitting dog is an allusion to the Olomouc' loyalty to the Roman Emperor. The autor of the fountain was Václav Render and the sculpture is a work of Jan Jirí Schauberger.
