This Girder Bridge used to carry heavy traffic of copper ore unit trains from Copperton to concentrators at Garfield and Arthur.

Until the late 1980's all copper ore from the Bingham Canyon open-pit mine was carried by railroad across this bridge as it left the marshalling yard in Copperton. After being emptied at the concentration mills the empties returned across this bridge to be taken back into the pit to start the cycle all over again.
