Guangzhou City is the capital of the Guangdong province, and it has ~13 million good people, and the city is a transport nexus. As such, as you would imagine, transport is a big thing in the city.
Near the city centre is the railway station, and this is big. Immediately outside the main station entrance is this bus terminal, also big. It is of an open design, no buildings, just bus parking areas, people waiting areas, small offices, ticket counters, and lots of people. From here one can travel to any point in the city, and to neighbouring cities, including Hong Kong. Little English spoken or on display.
