This horse-powered mill turned sorghum grain (also known as red millet) into flour. You can find this product today in supermarkets or on-line (see (visit link) but at the turn of the century you had to grow and harvest the grain, then hire the miller to come to your farm to turn your grain into flour.

Sorghum is America's third-leading cereal crop, according to ConAgra foods.
