A couple have 40 minutes to cross Lake District terrain. They are carrying boxes on their back, one of which contains £1000. On the boxes are targets which connect to the locking mechanism. If the Interceptor can zap the targets with a laser gun the locks won’t open. The boxes were given to the contestants at the Windermere Steamboat Museum, before being flown to the Eskdale Green area.

One of the pair was dropped on the lower slopes of Middle Fell above Greendale Farm, the other was dropped in the Newton Knott area. The presenter was at the final location at the Outward Bound Centre at Eskdale Green, and the Interceptor started at the King George IV pub near Eskdale Green.

The first contestant made her way down to Greendale Farm and got a lift to Wasdale Hall, where she retrieved a key from a floating buoy on Wast Water. After getting the key she was given a lift to the Outward Bound Centre. The second contestant made his way to Muncaster Castle and got a lift to Muncaster Mill railway station, where he boarded a train. The Interceptor managed to board the train at the Green station. The contestant jumped off the train and made his way overland to the Outward Bound Centre. At the Centre he got a key from a tree walk and made his way to the road outside the Centre. Meanwhile the Interceptor got a motorbike from the King George IV pub and lay in wait with his bike at the main entrance of the Centre. The contestants met at a pedestrian entrance to the Centre, with 6 seconds to spare.
