The Brewery History website tells us about the former brewery:
"Walker & Son Ltd, Wellington Brewery, Wellington Street. Founded at least by 1850 and acquired by John Keddell junior by Alexander Walker in 1854. Registered in June 1896. Acquired by Charrington & Co Ltd in 1904 with 29 public houses. Brewing ceased in 1928 when the brewery was damaged by fire. Parts of the former brewery buildings are used as a public house, the Jolly Drayman. The brewery offices survive on the opposite side of Wellington Street, converted to other uses."
