Though there are several swimming and sun bathing beaches in the area, this is the largest and most popular on the west side. The name comes from the pair of weeping willows growing at the back of the beach by the washrooms.
This is a nice, sandy beach with lots of sun and reasonably shallow water for a reasonable distance offshore. If the sun should become a little too strong for one, they may cross the road and relax in the shade of the mature trees in Kent Park. Parking is available along the road and across the street.
The amenities include washrooms, benches, picnic tables and volleyball courts. Next door is the West Kelowna Yacht Club and just down the street is The Bonfire Restaurant, one of the few lakeside restaurants in the Okanagan that allows guests to pull up in their boat and moor it while dining lakeside.
