The Bow, Encana's headquarters, has a crescent-shaped footprint. The building's name refers both to its shape and to the nearby Bow River. The Bow is currently (April 2013) the tallest building in Calgary.

Plans to build The Bow were announced in October 2006, and the ground was broken in June 2007. Encana employees began moving into The Bow in mid-August 2012: (visit link)

Wonderland, a three-storey tall sculpture by Jaume Plensa, was unveiled on The Bow's ground level entrance plaza in January 2013.

On April 10, 2013, Emporis (a database of construction projects) put The Bow at the top of their list of the world's 16 most spectacular corporate headquarters.
