Disse to 200 cm. høje løver er skabt af Claus Ørntoft i årene 1993-94. Udført i Blå rønnegranit har de en ganske anseelig vægt og fylde som er med til at understrege den markering af en indgang kunstneren beskriver.

Forskningscenter Foulum kom til verden i 1984. I etaper kom forskere inden for husdyr og planteavl fra flere forskellige steder i Danmark. Byggeriet er sket etapevis og med dette, anskaffelsen af kunstværker. En del af midlerne til at købe kunst har været til rådighed, fordi der ved ofentligt byggeri skal anvendes en procent af byggesummen til kunst. Billedhuggeren Erik Varming har udvalgt en stor del af de kunstnere som har skabt de store udendørs skulpturer. Forskningscenter Foulum er idag hjemsted for mere end 50 imponerende kunstværker indendørs og udendørs.

These two 200 cm. high lions are created by Claus Ørntoft in the years 1993-94. Made from Blue Rønne granite, they have a quite considerable weight and fullness which helps to emphasize the marking of an entrance artist describes.

Research Center Foulum came to be in 1984. By stages the researchers in animal science and plant science moved in from various places in Denmark.
