Since it's beginnings in 1955, American River College has grown to one of the largest community colleges in the state with over 38,000 students. Part of the 50 year commemoration included a tile mural on the campus. Originally in the campus cafeteria, it was dismantled when the cafeteria was demolished, and placed on the outside wall of the theater building.
