This FREE campsite is provided by the Yough River Trail Coucil to trail users of the Great Allegheny Passage, a trail
connecting Pittsburgh and Cumberland, Maryland.
This campsite is located about 43 Miles south of Pittsburgh and 89 Miles North of Cumberland. There are views of the
Youghiogheny (pronnounced Yawk-a-GAY-nee) River. The campsite is open year-round and the following amenities are available:
- 2 Adirondack Shelters – Free on a first come first served basis
- 2 Covered picnic tables and 2 charcoal grills with trash bins
- Frost free water fountain and toilet facility available 24/7/365
- Martin’s grocery is 100 yds. Away with 24 hour supplies, deli, pharmacy, restroom, etc.
Within the plaza is: Dollar Tree, Going Postal, Colebrook Chocolate (and ice cream),
Wine and Spirits, New York Pasta and Pizza (along with sandwiches and meals, beer)
and Hunter Pharmacy.
- WiFi is available just down the hill in Yough River Park next to the restroom/park
building. Yough Park also has a water hydrant, river access, playground and pavilions.
