In Millis, along Exchange Street and by the old Millir railroad depot now known as the Lansing Millis Memorial Building is a bell on a metal yoke.

The bell is located by the old station, which is set back about 100 feet from the main road. The bell is on a yoke. The bell has the following embossed on its surface:

"Cast by G. H. Holbrook East Medway Mass. 1845."

There is a plaque nearby with the following text:

"Holbrook Bell presented to the Town of Millis in its Centennial Year 1985 by Selectman Hindy Rosenfeld."

The Holbrook Foundry was located a few miles southeast, along today's Mass. Route 109, in the portion that stayed with Medway. Millis split from Medway in 1885.

The old railroad station was until recently the town offices. I'm not sure how it is being used or if it is still owned by the town. Thus, be respectful of the area beyond the bell.
