Together with Überseequartier this is one of the two newest stations of the Hochbahn. It is served by the new line U4, which started in November 2012.

Until Autumn 2013 it will only be served between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekend and public holiday. The other times Überseequartier will be the last stop. When it is open, there is a light and sound show every full hour starting with 11 o'clock. The light blocks can change their colour.

The platform is 16,5 meter under street level, it is 200 meter long.
