F-4 Phantom - Mojave, CA - Static Aircraft Displays on Waymarking.com

This F-4 Phantom is one of two aircraft on display at the entrance to Mojave Airport and Space Port. The serial number and other markings on the aircraft have been painted over and the only lettering is "BAE Systems"

BAE Systems converts decommissioned F-4's into QF-4 drone aircraft for the U.S. Air Force at their facility at the airport. This aircraft was the Navy version, as it still has its tailhook. It is painted in the QF-4 colors.
