#10 Main Street is a rare example of multi-family housing in Mendon. Particularly noteworthy is its long, elongated, boxy form with octagonal bays at either end of the main facade. This house possesses a Georgian form. This house rises 2 1/2 stories from a brick basement to an asbestos shingle covered gable roof with return eaves.

#10 Main Street is hisotrically significant as an early 20th c. boarding house which may have housed employees of the Draper Company manufacturers of woolen machinery in Hopedale. It was built in ca. 1900-1915.
