#6 Main Street is a contributing Craftsman style residence built between 1905-1920. Noteworthy are its boxy hip roofed form and rubble stone foundation. Its main facade is clad with modern shingles. This house is 2 stories on a rubble stone basement. Until as late as ca. 1910 there were no buildings located between the Amidon Tavern and the Taft Library.

#6 Main Street is historically significant as a Craftsman style house which is symbolic of Mendon's renewed population growth during the 1910's and 1920's.
