Growing Local is a decorated utility box that champions the cause of eating locally grown produce. This box is located on the edge of the UC Berkeley campus at the south entrance to The Crescent.

The Earth Island Institute is working to support increasing nature and art in Berkeley, California. The Streets Alive project is an effort to bring vibrant public art to utility boxes in Berkeley.

Growing Local is an artwork on a utility box on the SE corner of Oxford Street near The Crescent in Berkeley. The opposite sides of Growing Local seem to be similar design. The street and sidewalk sides depict the Oakland Bay Bridge and the Berkeley Campanille as a background to a sliced orange, lime, grapes and radishes. The two other two sides depict a large carrot, tomato and pea pod.
