Manufactured from 1934 to 1939, the Twenty Two was one of the smaller machines made by Caterpillar. The engine is an in line four cylinder 251 ci [4.1 L] gasoline/distillate unit that produced about 31 HP at 1250 RPM. It has a 3 speed transmission and weighs about 6,200 pounds. The Twenty Two came standard with 10 inch tracks.

This machine was used for many years in the Revelstoke area as a skidder tractor in the bush, hauling felled trees to a loading area.

Note the crank at the front of the engine. There weren't too many Cat engines made that one could hand crank.
