This bridge carries the rail tracks over Strood High Street which is a dual carriageway at this point with a central reservation where there is a centre support for the bridge.

The bridge is located between Strood station, to the north, and Cuxton station to the south of the bridge. The badge, on the bridge, shows that it is designated as "PWS2 883".

The co-ordinates are given for a point about ten metres to the west of the southern end of the bridge. There are footpaths passing beneath the bridge so it may be viewed and photographed in safety.
