"The Guildhall blue plaque at St Nicholas Church, Great Yarmouth Minster, reads:
1207 erected when a Merchants' Guild was established.
Site of the Guildhall
1544 Re-built
1723 Demolished and a new Guildhall erected
1849 Demolished.
Used as the Borough's Council Chamber until 1835.
