Between 1837 and 1939 girls were employed, who served spa guests the water at the mineral springs. They also had to make sure, that the Homburg citizens filled only the fixed quantum of healing water in bottles and jars for themselves.
The sculptor Prof. Richard Hess designed the life-sized bronze sculpture of a carefree, fun-loving girl who quite boldly arranges her garter. It was created in 1994 and financed by a fundraising campaign.
