Pedestrians and bicyclists traveling along Hwy 111 are welcomed with a nice concrete bridge to pass over the Deep Canyon Stormwater Channel. There's a bronze plaque located on the SW corner of the bridge that reads:
CITY OF INDIAN WELLS DEEP CANYON PEDESTRIAN/BICYCLE BRIDGE
Dedicated November 22, 2002
Mayor Conrad Negron, Sr. Mayor Pro Tem Robert A. Bernheimer Council Member Percy L. Byrd Council Member Ed Monarch Council Member Mary T. Roche
City Manager.............Public Works Director Gregory R. Johnson......Timothy T. Wassil, P.E. |
I could find no other information on this bridge other than a PDF document that comprises a transportation enhancement projects list and this particular bridge cost a total of $393,000 in federal and state dollars to construct.
