If, for some strange reason, you chose to ride to this trailhead from, say, downtown Trail, then there would be no need to ride the trail, as you would already have your daily quota of exercise.

You see, West Trail isn't just west of the rest of Trail, it's west and UP from the rest of Trail. This trailhead is at one of the upper streets in West Trail. You'll get the idea when you look at the gallery.

The trail itself is categorized as easy, less than 2 km. in total, probably easier than the ride up to it!!! To get here, just follow your GPS while winding your way through the maze that is West Trail.

Just above the trailhead there's a switchback in the road and a roaring creek (in the spring, at least). There's parking available there.
Trail Name: Elder Trail

Short description of trail:
A fairly rough trail with rock and bedrock in various places. Though the trail is rated easy, if you choose to ride up to the trail from downtown, I would rate that section intermediate. It's uphill all the way.
