The "Black Swan" of the pub sign was carved and then painted. After much weathering, only the carved swan remains; it's in sad need of repainting. But it's clearly meant to follow pub sign traditions.
This building has operated as the Black Swan since its opening in 1993. It closed in 2022, and the property is currently (2023) up for lease. Perhaps someone will revive the pub and reuse the sign?
