Bývalý dominikánský klášter vznikl po roce 1291 fundací opavského vévody Mikuláše I. a kostel sv. Václava byl roku 1336 vysvecen biskupem Johannem VI. Barokne prestavený. Dnes Dum umení a základní umelecká škola. Kostel se po rekonstrukci príležitostne užívá pro výstavy a koncerty.

Former Dominican monastery was founded in 1291 after the foundation of the Opava Duke Nicholas I and the church. Wenceslas was consecrated in 1336 by Bishop Johann VI. Rebuild in the Baroque style. Today, House of Art and Art School. The church has been reconstructed occasionally used for exhibitions and concerts.
