This set of marble relief sculptures on the west side of the First National Bank Building is the work of noted artist Frederick Littman. Created in 1947, the sculptures represent scenes of agriculture and industry. The building is considered a historic contributing structure in the Salem Downtown State Street--Commercial Street Historic District.
